Reliez Bees is the creation of amateur beekeeper Jay Warner, an accomplished landscape architect located in the East Bay just outside San Francisco. Jay has been successfully tending to a handful of bee hives for over a decade. A few years ago, Jay shared his affection for honey bees with his wife Leila, and father-in-law Steve, who now both assist in the beekeeping operation. Together the small team of beekeepers attend to bees located in the municipalities of Alamo, Orinda, Lafayette, and Walnut Creek California.
Reliez Bees honey is not available for sale at this time, but rather the team chooses to share honey above the bees’ needs with family and friends. Like many amateur beekeepers, raising bees is a labor of love, and the reward is not so much in the honey but rather in promoting Mother Earth by assisting in the pollination process and creating food for all.
The name Reliez is derived from a small valley enclave located in Lafayette, California where the team first started tending to bees.
